WDSG 107.9 LP-FM Is On The Air. Licensed by the Federal Communications Commission, WDSG began broadcasting on June 6, 2003, the first radio station of its’ kind, in North Carolina. (Low Power FM) Our history goes like this: Thomas Burke Buchanan and wife, Lucille P. Buchanan, provided the equipment and the installation to begin this local radio station. WDSG Radio Station is located in downtown Sanford at 207 Gordon Street . The goal of WDSG is to promote Sanford, Lee County and surrounding areas; the people and businesses, and to give the community a locally owned Christian FM radio station that plays a variety of music, and a station that brings local news and airs great music. WDSG stands for ‘We Do Sanford Good’ and it is at the very top of the FM dial – 107.9 in Sanford. On the air 24/7, WDSG features programming  including gospel music, easy listening, big band music from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s and great beach music from our library. In addition, local news, public service announcements, guest interviews and telephone call-ins comprise the programs offered. Tune in to our Good News Crew. Programs are re-broadcast: The 10 AM show is rebroadcast at 12 noon, and the 11 AM show is rebroadcast at 5 PM.
